Blog Post 9 Course Reflection

This class was very intriguing, and I learned a lot about game design. In particular, it's interesting to do MDA analysis on the game as you are creating it. This has also been a tool that I've used while playing mainstream games or even board games with friends. The community involved has made the course more enjoyable and creating and playing games with fellow classmates is invaluable. Gaining feedback from the class has also been a pleasurable experience, and seeing the games that everyone has made throughout the class has been worthwhile. It has been particularly fun to see the creativity and ingenuity of games that others have made. The material overall for the course was very connected to each other and many themes were repetitive throughout the course, highlighting their importance in game studies. Reading and learning about different games in this course has allowed me to grow as a game developer and seeing other students' games has given me an opportunity to learn from others and see their perspectives through playtesting and gameplay. I hope to continue enjoying and making games with this community, sharing opportunities, and networking and I'm look forward to including the course materials in my future game dev career.
