How Did Players Respond to Your Game

In both playtests, players enjoyed the animations of the game and the mechanic of throwing an egg. There were suggestions to add enemy mobs and obstacles in the level, and that the enemy mobs should take on the same chibi style as the player sprite. One bug in the game was having the egg prefab object be stationary and get stuck around the player, and one playtester enjoyed this as a mechanic. Unfortunately, this mechanic will not be kept in, but I'm glad players enjoyed the bug. Most players found the game's fundamental goal straightforward.

What Do We Plan to Implement In Game

Based on feedback, we are going to have mobs with attack projectiles that chase the player around. Though, due to time constraints, we won't be able to implement obstacles. We also plan to give different waves of enemies different speeds to ensure the game remains challenging. One suggestion to decrease friction when walking into walls is also planned to be implemented into the game so that the player does not lose speed while walking against walls. We are hoping these changes allow the game to feel more engaging.
